Shinichu Izumi lives a peaceful life with his parents until one night, organisms invade the Earth. They are worms (parasites) that get inside humans through their eyes or nose to take over their brains. Shinichi manages to keep them from entering his body, but they infect his hand. This is where his fight for survival in a hostile world begins.
